Anzac Day big game

If getting up at dawn to honour our ANZAC fallen seems a bit confronting, then honour Australia’s war heroes in a different way, at the annual tradition that is the ANZAC Day fixture at the SCG.

This traditional day, in which the Sydney Roosters take on the Saint George Dragons, is one of the best days on the NRL calendar.

Before the game, there is a very moving ceremony in which ex-servicemen are acknowledged by the crowd, the Last Post is played and a minute’s silence is observed. It’s one of the biggest games of the year. It’s a great day out.
