Paddo Library birthday party

Libraries don’t look the way Paddington Library did in 1952, and thank goodness for that.

This month celebrations are underway to mark the 130th anniversary of the library, located in Paddington Town Hall.

On Wednesday the library will host a morning tea with speakers including journalist Sandra Hall and historian Lisa Murray on the topic of ‘Paddington Library: Sparking Curiosity for 130 years’.

Then next Sunday, a birthday party will be held at the library. There will be a scavenger hunt and children’s activities, information on the history of Paddington, live music and more. It’s a free event.
