Sami Outalbali in A Tale of Love and Desire

The French Film Festival is on in Paddington, running until April 6 at the Chauvel and Verona cinemas on Oxford St.

The feast of film is sumptuous, with a bounty of excellent movies to enjoy. In total, 42 films are showing.

Highlights include Gerard Depardieu in Maigret, while other films on show include The Young Lovers, Hear Me Out, A Tale of Love and Desire and Anais in Love.

This year marks the 33rd anniversary of the festival, which is aimed at presenting the best of “French excellence on screen”.
